Dog Training in Chiswick: Walkies & Waggietails in Partnership with Chiswick House

Walkies and Waggietails are delighted to announce our new Partnership with Chiswick House and Gardens to provide a new private outdoor dog training venue!

Chiswick House is set in 65 acres of woodland, lawns and gardens. Walkies & Waggietails will be situated in the private Walled Garden and Cherry Orchard and will have exclusive use of this 2 acre secure area for our courses.

The new additional training facility will enable us to provide further training courses that are better suited outside such as our ‘walkies in the park’ course, which focuses on improving and troubleshooting recall, appropriate play and lead walking.  We will also hold our Dog Parkour Fusion Adventure courses and challenge days here, UK Sniffer Dog outdoor courses, Kennel Club Good Citizen classes and some of our private one to one training programmes.

Launching in March our first courses will be:

Walkies in the Park – improving and trouble-shooting recall, appropriate play and lead walking.

These dog training courses are designed to help improve enjoyable dog walks in the park to increase responsiveness with reliable recalls, enhance your fun together in social settings and environments, minimise potential risks and enrich your bonding time with your dog in real life contexts and situations.

·       Increased responsiveness and reliable recalls

·       Focus and connection to you even around the distractions of people and other dogs

·       Whistle training for long distance, high distractions recalls

·       Working through prey drive to carefully manage ‘squirrel urges’

·       Emergency stops

·       Calm meet and greets with dogs

·       Guiding appropriate play with dogs

·       Preventing jumping up at people in the park

·       Loose lead walking in real life contexts

·       Using scent games and Parkour on walks for the additional fun factor!

The walkies in the Park course will kick-off on Saturday 5th March.   The 5 week course will be held at 10 – 11 in the Chiswick House Walled Garden and Cherry Orchard.   The cost of the course is £138 per dog with limited places available.   If you would like to book a place on the course please contact us direct or complete the registration forms available on our website. Booking is on a first come first serves basis.

Dog Parkour Fusion - Foundation Course

Dog Parkour Fusion blends elements of human parkour like balancing, climbing and crawling with other dog training disciplines such as obedience, tricks, hoopers and Tellington-touch to form a fun fusion of quirky urban style agility.

We’ve developed a series of fifteen challenge levels, both indoor and outdoor in built, urban and natural environments that take you and your dog through an exciting new journey of ‘discovery‘ and ‘adventure‘ together.   The Chiswick House outdoor training venue will now give us the ability to train the ‘adventure’ outdoor titles and hold ‘challenge’ days.  You can find out more information at our official site  www.dogparkourfusion.com

The first  ‘Foundation Course’   is a short course learning the basic core positions, postures, and skills needed to start and progress your journey throughout the levels.    Graduation of this course then opens doors to both the Discover and Adventure ‘levels and our Parkour Fusion Challenge events.

Starting on Saturday 11th March we will be hosting the Parkour Fusion Foundation Level course outdoors.   This 5 week course will be held from 11-15 – 12.15 in the Chiswick House Walled Garden and Cherry Orchard.   The cost of the course is £125 per dog with limited places available.

There is a 10% discount available to Chiswick House Members.
